In order to escape the cold weather in the northern hemisphere in February we decided to head for Key West, Florida.   My wife needed little encouragement.  So we planned a trip where we would first stop in and celebrate with the people in New Orleans (Mardi Gras) and then push on to Key West.

Our experiences in Key West were, to say the lease, very interesting.  Leaving I felt that I had met up with Hemingway himself.
