When I found out that there was a real Clan Irwin, with an existing castle and a chief Dave Irvine (the 26th Baron of the Clan Irwin) residing at it I had to go there.
It took quite an effort to make the rendezvous happen. I had to have my DNA tested to make sure that I was really an Irwin. I had to join the Clan Irwin organization (head quartered in Chicago). There were many emails and lots of travel arrangements. Then, of course, there was the challenge of finding the actual castle buried deep in the heart of Scotland.
