There is a corner on the Haute Route in Switzerland called “The Wow Corner“. I’d have to say that the corner definitely deserves it’s name.
One day Joe told me that he had, since his college days, wanted to go to Europe and hike the Haute Route from one side of the Alps to the other. I needed little encouragement. “Let’s do it”, I said. And the rest was history. So in July we went and hiked the Haute Route. Turns out it was quite the hike. It went from Mount Blanc to the Matterhorn thru the Bernese Alps. It took 11 days, was 150kms long and had 19500m (63900′) of elevation change.
